Cotswold cottage
This beautiful cottage in the heart of the Cotswolds has the perfect blend of floral and vintage interiors to ensure peaceful living. Originally 3 separate cottages, the owners converted them into one and made this picture-perfect place to live.
Living room
Elegant French-style furniture is given an English country twist with ginghams and florals. The neutral colour used throughout the clashing patterns creates a relaxing country living room. Centred in the room is a trunk the owners bought from an antiques store, which adds to the many vintage trinkets they have scattered throughout the home.
Dining area
A farmhouse table lined with spotted material and Windsor chairs add to the rustic feel, complimenting the adjoining country kitchen. A rustic green storge unit showcases retro trinkets in an organised way.
Country kitchen
A range cooker in cream is the perfect accessory for the country kitchen and hand-painted wooden units ensure the colour combination is spot on. Floral tea towels and pale pink accessories are placed throughout. The quirky word tiling outlines some favourite British afternoon treats.
Utility room
Hand-painted cupboards and open shelving provide the storage space needed in this utility area. A pale pink Smeg fridge is the focal point for the room.
Guest vintage bedroom
Mismatched florals create a comfortable, informal air in the guest bedroom. Plain walls with delicate lamps create a relaxed atmosphere. The pale wood used throughout the rooms creates a combination of a country-style and elegant look.
Main bedroom
The owners' love of sophisticated French style is evident throughout the bedrooms. The statement chair oozes class, and the floral quilt and curtains provide a pretty splash of colour. The small lampshade and pink mounted mirror add the finishing touches.
Open-plan conservatory
A large conservatory creates a light-filled space and soft pastel and gingham sofas continue the clashing pattern theme. The open-plan design gives a great view of the garden and combines the kitchen with the dining area - perfect for when the owners are playing hosts to guests for dinner.
Garden
The owners have made use of their lovely garden by dividing the space into separate zones for relaxing, eating, growing fruit and vegetables and keeping bees.
Summerhouse
The pretty summerhouse brings a touch of the elegance from inside the home, outside into the garden. Located at the back of the property, it makes for the perfect retreat, with wicker chairs and patterned bunting inside completing the finishing touch.
It is a sad fact, but nowadays tradition of meeting together with your family members to dine is slowly dying. We can of course blame anyone but us, but the truth also lies in the changes that are all around us. It is no longer cool to sit on your old wooden chair in your dining room and prey before your meal.
